Applications are invited for ITI qualified INDIAN National candidates for apprenticeship One Year training at the Naval Dockyard Apprentices School, Visakhapatnam, [DAS (Vzg)] in the following designated trades (in accordance with Apprentices act 1961) in the prescribed format (placed at Annexure-1).

Post : Apprentice in ITI Trade - Electrician, Electronics Mechanic & Mechanic (Radio & TV), Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Machanist, MMTM, Painter, R & A/C Mechanic, Welder (Gas & Electric)

Last Date of Application : 16/12/2013

Qualification : SSC/Metric/ Std Xth with Minimum of 50% Marks (Aggregate) and ITI (NCVT) in relevant trades with minimum 65% (aggregate)

Age : Born between 15/04/1993 To 15/04/2000

Stipend : Rs. 1700/-, Rs. 1970/-, Rs. 2200/- per month, depending upon the period of apprenticeship training.

(2) Diploma in Engineering/ Office Management for Technician Apprentices in the relevant branch from Institute / University recognized by AICTE.
Note: Degree/Diploma acquired from Distance/ Correspondence education system is not eligible for the
apprenticeship.

Required Qualification : 
 Category – I : Engineering Graduate Apprentices :- 

 A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University
 A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an institution
empowered to grant such degree by an Act of parliament.
 Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central
Government as equivalent to degree.

 Category – II : Technician(Diploma Holder) Apprentices :- 

 A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or
Board of Technical Education established by a State Government.
 A Diploma in Engineering or Technology by an University.
 A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an institute recognized
by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

  Category – III : Technician(Vocational) Apprentices :- 

 A Certificate in vocational course involving two years of study after the
completion of the secondary stage of school education recognized by All
India Council for Technical Education.

Age : Not less than fourteen years and upper age limit is 30 years as on  01.01.2014.

Selection: 

 Selection will be done through personal interview/test
